FAQS/Process/About Me
Whats poppin -
Most of what is sold on here are pre-orders. Unless otherwise indicated in the description, assume that your order is a pre-order.
This means that shirts are on sale for typically one week - maybe two, allowing y'all to get yr sizes ordered. After the pre-order ends, I send the final sizes to my printer, the blanks are ordered, and then printed. Once printed, they are shipped to me, and then I ship them to you.
As of now, I ship every Friday - that will change sometime soon I hope, and it'll be daily shipping - but for now, it's every Friday.
This takes roughly 3-4 weeks from the time pre-order ends until it ships. Give or take a week.
Regarding mail issues, lost packages - that sort of thing. Look, I am not responsible for that. I don't deal with refunds or exchanges unless it's very clearly my fault - like if I send the wrong size. I don't mean to be rude or dismissive, but I can't afford to manage that. I'm not Amazon.
Also, unless otherwise noted, assume that these are unofficial. If the band is involved, it will be clear. If they're not, it will be also clear. But just to keep in mind. One person, doing my best to keep these memories alive when the bands don't do it themselves.
Some stuff is in-hand and shipping every Friday. If those are ordered with a pre-order, they will ship together when the pre-order is shipped.
Typically, pre-orders end at Midnight Pacific Standard Time on the date listed, but often stay up for the weekend, and are sometimes taken down sooner than planned. I wouldn't hold off if you're interested. They also occasionally stay up for longer than planned if selling slowly. This is informal, more or less.
If something is 'limited to x amount', it's not due to forced scarcity - that's what I am trying to prevent. It's to ensure minimums are met for screen printing (24 shirts). I don't want to make money doing this, but I want to deliver a quality product with cool bonus shit. Trying to act like the customer in that respect, what would make me stoked, etc. I'm a fan just like you.
I am one person running this store. My name is Alex, and I'm not the drummer of Native. Not until recently - I am now, and you should ask them about it as much as possible, they'd be thrilled. I was not in La Dispute, but I will continue to edit their Wikipedia as if I was. I thought it'd be funny to identify as a member of a touring band while doing bootlegs, and that led to me joining Native post-death.
I grew up in music, and merch has been a focus for as long as I can remember. I've booked shows, played a few, designed merch, sold merch on tour all over the country/other countries, do stage lighting, work a delivery side gig, and I recreate old merch as a hobby. The IRS considers this a job, but it is a pleasure to do this - I do not consider it a job. It's an obligation and my only real passion.
Money sucks the love out of everything I'm doing, and I don't think about it. I am passionate about all of these bands, and if you've spoken to me at all, you know that isn't bullshit. I am available to talk to anyone, and I will always make the time. If I ignore a DM, it's not intentional, and you can keep messaging me until I see it - it isn't annoying. Don't stress.
I am available for commission. DM on Instagram (50/50 I'm going to see it) or e-mail (slower responses, but I probably won't miss it) - heelest@gmail.com. Honestly - I usually avoid this, but I need to start getting used to it. I have a hard time charging money for things I'd do for fun - I will always work with you regarding pricing/your project. Trust me when I say that I understand this is not a profitable niche. If I think you're going to make $0, I will still help you as much as I can.
Please do not hesitate to hit me up for anything at all. Conversation about music included.
All product photos are digital mock-ups, and the final product may differ slightly, the goal is to represent the mock-up to the best of my ability. Usually it's good. All mock-ups are based off a size small. I use the same screen for all sizes available - meaning it'll look as advertised on a size small, and it'll look smaller on a 4xl.
I do this for the love of the scene, it is all I know - and also because I believe it's objectively the right thing to do when fans need to pay resale to rep their favorite bands (who often ignore their legacy entirely). Keeping these memories alive and active is my priority.
